Transgender Positive Policy for Juvenile Jails in New York

As of March 17th, New York State juvenile jails have changed their policies allowing transgender inmates to wear uniforms that reflect their expressed gender. As well as, allowing them to take hormones. Staff has been instructed to call inmates by their preferred pronouns and have a new policy to offer support for LGBT inmates through their coming-out process. Click here for the entire story.
