Settlement reached in Bolthouse Farms boycott

Share |

The boycott against Bolthouse Farms, which was in direct correlation to the founder’s donation to the Protect Marriage campaign which petitioned for Proposition 8, has reached a settlement in order to cease the ongoing boycott.

Californians Against Hate, who led the boycott, released a statement on Wednesday explaining that Bolthouse Farms is “committed to working productively with the LGBT community”.

Since the donation William Bolthouse, Jr. made went public, Bolthouse Farms has been doing its best to separate from the conservative founder and his Christian foundation. Jeff Dunn, the new CEO and president of Bolthouse Farms, has also been making efforts to attend various high profile lunches and dinners with both the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force and the Human Rights Campaign. They have also extended domestic partner benefits to all employees and updated their philosophy statement to be more inclusive.

I suppose boycotts do work.
