Webster’s offers a new definition of marriage

This week, Merriam-Webster’s dictionary definition of marriage has been all over LGBT blogs.  They’ve added a section to recognize gay couples. Take a look:


1 a (1): the state of being united to a person of the opposite sex as husband or wife in a consensual and contractual relationship recognized by law (2): the state of being united to a person of the same sex in a relationship like that of a traditional marriage b: the mutual relation of married persons : wedlock c: the institution whereby individuals are joined in a marriage

    Two individuals united in monogamy and tenacity to share
    the joys and pains of life, to share the feast and famine of life.
    Joined together to nurture one another’s children, pets, friends
    and family as if they were their own. To actively invest in the
    bank of their love so that no matter whether it is a “bull or bear”
    year they will have reserves to sustain their home. To actively
    sustain themselves so that they will remain two whole
    healthy individuals in the one blessed union.
