OREGON RESTAURANTS TAKE ACTION FOR GAY RIGHTS
Over 60 Establishments to Participate in Tenth Annual Bites for Rights Event on Thursday, June 18th
Who: Pro-equality restaurants, cafés and bars around the entire state.
What: Bites for Rights: More than 65 establishments statewide will donate 15% of their proceeds from June 18th to Basic Rights Oregon to advance equality for all during the 10th Annual Bites for Rights Event.
When: Thursday, June 18th, 2009, ALL DAY LONG. Enjoy all of your meals, snacks, and drinks out at participating establishments.
Where: Establishments all around the state, in Astoria, Beaverton, Corvallis, Eugene, Manzanita, Portland, and Salem.
Why: “As the country rapidly embraces the freedom to marry, Oregon restaurants are stepping up to the plate and taking a stand for equality ,” says Jeana Frazzini, Executive Director of Basic Rights Oregon.
“We are proud to live in a state where so many businesses stand up for equality for all. On Thursday, June 18th, fair-minded Oregonians will be dining out for equality.”
