APANO hosts Asian/Pacific Islander LGBTQ Listening Circle! (10/24)
APANO Many Rivers Project invites Asians and/or Pacific Islanders who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) to attend a special LGBTQ Listening Circle October 24th, 2009.
The LGBTQ Listening Circle is an opportunity for a small group of LGBTQ Pacific Islanders & Asian-Americans to meet and discuss issues specific to this population. Led by a team of professional facilitators, the Circle will consist of guided activities and dialogue exploring the following topics and much more:
• Building community
• Coming out
• Gender/racial oppression within API and/or LGBTQ communities
Participants are encouraged to bring their own pertinent issues, challenges, inspirations and ideas.Details:
