Tazha Williams is an Activist and Interdisciplinary Artist to say the least. Inspired by her vibrant, lived experience as a queer femme of African descent, Tazha became an advocate in the Occupy Oakland movement of 2011 as well as an Organizer in the Black Lives Matter Portland chapter in 2016. She was the 2017 Lilla Jewel Award winner of Oregon’s MRG Foundation and her work has also been featured in the San Diego Union Tribune, on The Today Show and on KUSI news. From San Diego, CA, Tazha has been a resident of Portland since 2015 and is now completing her bachelor’s degree in Intermedia at PNCA.
