Join us for a two-day leadership summit hosted by Basic Rights Oregon and the Portland State University Queer Resource Center! The weekend will empower trans Oregonians and our allies in our work to build a strong movement for Trans Justice statewide. We’ll share our victories and lessons learned, explore how health care discrimination plays out in our community, and build the skills we need to win the struggles ahead. In addition to trainings on topics ranging from “how to lobby decision makers” to “dismantling racism within the trans community,” this year’s summit will include workshops on personal needs and how to access trans-friendly services. Saturday October 20th – Sunday October 21st $15.00 (Early Bird) For one day if purchased before 9/22/2012 If you have questions or accessibility needs to the University, or would like ASL interpretation, please contact us by emailing David@basicrights.org, or calling 503-222-6151 x118. This event is wheelchair accessible and neutral restrooms will be available. No one turned away for lack of funds.
Out hotel sponsor Hotel Fifty is offering rooms at discounted rate. Up to 4 guests can stay in rooms with two double beds, so you can subsidize your costs by staying with a group. Thank you to our sponsors:
