Join Basic Rights Oregon’s leadership and lobbyists for a look at our 2019 legislative goals. At this event, our Executive Director Nancy Haque and government relations consultants Laura Curtis and Amanda Hess will share our upcoming priorities.
We’re protecting and supporting LGBTQ youth with a comprehensive suicide prevention bill called Adi’s Act which will provide all school districts in Oregon with a model suicide prevention policy based on national best practices. We’re also speaking out for an expanded definition of family so that Paid Family Medical Leave will work for all Oregonians. On March 5th, we’re heading to Salem to speak with our legislators for our 2019 Lobby Day which you can sign up for here.
Come learn how you can make a difference for all LGBTQ Oregonians through out the 2019 legislative session and beyond.
Snacks and drinks will be provided; you can RSVP here.
When: Wednesday, February 20 from 6-8 p.m.
Where: O’Donnell Group Realty, 1221 NW Everett St Portland, Oregon 97209
