6:30 – 8:30 PM Friday, November 16th Mercy Corps (45 SW Ankeny Street) Light bites and beverages provided ADA accessible and gender-neutral restrooms No one turned away for lack of funds For the past three years, Basic Rights Oregon has been working with trans community members to end health care discrimination against trans Oregonians. We’ve achieved incredible victories in 2012 – from educating nearly 200 decision-makers about trans health care, to increasing the number of Oregonians with trans-inclusive benefits by 45,000. And we’ve produced a first-of-its-kind video discussing trans experiences of health care discrimination: eight incredible community members are joined by two allies to share struggles, joys, and triumphs about trans-inclusive care. This screening will include a panel of several folks from the video, food and drinks, special guest speakers, and amazing raffle prizes from She Bop and more! Join us for this exciting event and support the work of the Trans Justice program. |
