Join Us at City Hall for a Transgender Day of Visibility Celebration!

Please come to City Hall from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26th as the City of Portland recognizes Transgender Day of Visibility, a day dedicated to celebrating the transgender community and raising awareness of discrimination faced by transgender people everywhere.

The afternoon’s program will include:
-Informational tabling by local, transgender-focused community organizations
-A panel of transgender community members discussing their lives and the challenges faced by the city’s trans community
-The flying of the transgender flag at City Hall
-A reading by Mayor Wheeler of the city’s proclamation for Transgender Day of Visibility in Portland
-An art display showcasing work by local trans, non-binary, and two spirit artists. There’s still space available so if you’re interested in showcasing your work, contact Matthew Palmer at matthew.palmer@portlandoregon.gov

We hope to see you there!
