This spring\, for the first time in history\, a sitting president endorsed the freedom to marry for gay and lesbian couples. Here in Oregon\, Basic Rights Oregon’s education campaign has led to a double-digit increase in support for marriage equality in the past 3 years.  And this November\, Washington voters will go to the polls to decide whether to uphold marriage equality legislation passed by the Washington Legislature earlier this year.
