Equality House Parties
Equality Across Oregon House Party and Event Series
Throughout 2012
Statewide
Here at Basic Rights Oregon, we’re focusing on health care for transgender Oregonians, on racial justice, and we’re working to win marriage equality right here in Oregon. But in order to do that, we HAVE to build a foundation TODAY. The best way to continue our outreach and education campaigns across the state are to hold events to get folks up to speed. And we’ve got to be clear—these campaigns cost money, so we also need to raise some funds. And YOU can help us do both with our Equality Across Oregon house party and event series.
Parents and Schools House Party, Portland
To change hearts and minds it is absolutely critical that we have conversations with our friends, family and coworkers about why these issues are important to us. The most effective way to do this is for BRO supporters to reach out to their personal networks and host a house party.
Marriage Equality House Party, Eugene
Hosting a house party or backyard event is a wonderful way to advance social justice while having a fabulous time. A house party, quite simply, is a gathering of you, your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers where we take about 20 minutes to talk about the work of Basic Rights Oregon and encourage guests to make a financial investment in the organization.

Summer Garden Party, Bend
House parties are an amazing way to engage new activists in our movement, and we’ll work with you every step of the way to make sure that the planning process is as simple and easy as possible.
