Calling All Bloggers! The Trans Justice Team Needs You!

The Trans Justice Team at Basic Rights Oregon is accepting proposals for our blog!

Do you have a story to share about trans justice? We want to hear it! Past blogs have included stories about coming out, living at the intersection of multiple identities, or issues that matter to trans communities. Because we often don’t get to hear the voices of trans people in our media, we would especially love to hear from people who identify as trans*, genderqueer, or gender non-conforming however also welcome stories from allies to our community.

To get involved, simply send your ideas for what would make a great blog to PeterM@BasicRights.org today!

I feel as though there is a lack of information on what it is like to be a trans parent/step parent. The highs and sometimes lows of being a parent are hard in general, and when you add blending a family with one parent who is trans or especialy just begining their transition, the highs can be especially high and the lows can be especially low.
