Party for Basic Rights Oregon

Love to host parties? Love Basic Rights Oregon? Why not host a house party for equality with Basic Rights Oregon? Hosting a house party for equality is a fun and easy way to support Basic Rights Oregon. We’ll help you plan an effective house party where you can build support for the freedom to marry, ending discrimination against trans Oregonians, and increasing the visibility of LGBT families of color. 

In order to make equality a reality in Oregon, we need to reach more people across the state, educate them about the campaigns and get them involved in supporting the work of Basic Rights Oregon. We need to raise $10,000 and educate 500 people through our house party program this year. Just what does $10,000 buy?

• It allows on of our organizers to travel 18,000 miles across Oregon to build support in small towns and rural communities.
• It allows organizers and volunteers to attend 100 outreach events across the state, so we can increase our supporter base and expand our capacity to end discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Oregonians.
• It allows our staff and volunteer team to have over 1,000 conversations with Oregonians who are still undecided on the issues of marriage equality, racial justice, and trans justice.
