“2020: On Fire”
2020 is a year on fire. From the federal administration whose cruelty towards the LGBTQ community knows no bounds, to continuous violence particularly against Black trans women, we’ve seen this fight before. And that’s why the fire has been lit for so many of us, as new people and communities are activated and engaged in the streets. We’re seeing people reckon with the racist and transphobic systems of oppression through out our state, our country, and the world, and we know that, together, we can take on any fight.
As part of our Statewide initiative, this week-long, virtual event will be your opportunity to meet with LGBTQ and ally Oregonians from around the state, attend community-led workshops, and get the skills you need to advance your leadership in your community.
Call for Proposals
So we want to know: what has lit your fire in the past year? What can you teach others to keep that torch burning, keep educating, and keep moving Oregon forward for LGBTQ equality, racial justice, and better communities overall?
We want to hear your proposals for workshops that show how you and your community have lit the fire for change!
Whether it’s a Know Your Rights training, anti-racism work, or developing trans affirming community spaces, apply below with your proposals! Accepted workshop presenters will receive $150.
Proposals are due by August 26!
