Queer Town Hall: Rural Pride

Tune in this Tuesday, July 28 at 6 p.m. on YouTube Live (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=836MEFyRbIM) for our live-captioned Queer Town Hall. Summer typically means active Pride celebrations through out the state, connecting with one another, and sharing how those of us in rural communities hold pride all year long. This week, we’re excited to hear from rural community members about their work for LGBTQ equality.

Our panelists include:

-Pam Trezevant, Former President of Capitol Pride in Salem

Claire Hall, Lincoln County Commissioner

-Alx Kujana, Artist, Activist & Public Speaker

Amber Heath, Pendleton PFLAG

Kylan Mattias de Vries, Ph.D., Associate Professor in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies and the Sociology and Anthropology programs at Southern Oregon University and Chair of GSWS

And more!

After this Queer Town Hall, we’ll be pressing pause for August as we plan for our Statewide Action Summit in September! Look for details via social media and email and we’re looking forward to seeing you back on YouTube in the fall!
