Sally Hsu has been active in politics since 2016, when she was invited to join the Basic Rights PAC board. From her work with the PAC board she was offered a position on Basic Rights Oregon's main board in 2023, and from there she continues her activist work.

Sally gives generously to Basic Rights Oregon, the Equality PAC, and the ACLU of Oregon. Recently she has also becoming the first stake-holder member of Oregon's Equal Rights for All campaign, ensuring that the campaign could hit the ground running.

In her spare time Sally funds her friends' creative endeavors as well as attempting a few of her own. Ideally, she would like to live in a world (or at least country) where everyone would be free to focus their efforts on creative or scientific work, or on personal development. While it may not happen in her lifetime, Sally will continue to try to build that world everyday in her own small way.
