While we’ve won many landmark victories—such as the passage of the Oregon Equality Act, the freedom to marry, the first standalone transgender justice bill, a ban on youth conversion therapy, and X gender markers on licenses—we know that our advancements need defending, and that legal equality is not the same as an equal lived experience.

It will take determination and resolve to reach our dreams of full equality. This year's Pride theme is “Saddle Up! Not our First Rodeo,” which signifies the countless times we have rallied together as a community to protect and defend the rights of LGBTQ2SIA+ Oregonians. It's not our first rodeo, and it won't be our last. But we are here to stay, and we will continue to fight for LGBTQ2SIA+ equality in Oregon.
