  • Covid/Airborne illnesses

This will be a masked event that takes place almost entirely indoors. We will not be requiring proof of vaccination but do expect mask usage and will have masks ready and available to give to attendees at the door.

There will be hand sanitizer and places to wash hands.

The ventilation rates in OSU buildings are designed to ASHRAE 62.1 standards; this means that with the typical air intake through the HVAC system, they have completely fresh air in building every 30 minutes.

We will be having a shared lunch – people who are concerned about being unmasked while eating are welcome to eat outside but note that this will mean missing out on the keynote speaker who will be delivering their keynote address during lunch. In order to make it that you can still hear the keynote address even if you choose to sit outside, we will be using Zoom to live stream the keynote address so that you can listen in on your phones.

    Visibility

Signs are only in English without braille.

The lighting is natural and fluorescent, with no ability to dim or change the lighting besides turning overheads entirely off in workshop rooms. There will be no fog machines or strobing lights.

    Audio/Visual

There will not be any house music playing, and it will be primarily indoors away from outside noise or loud crowds other than our event.

There will be a sensory room that will be a quiet space available throughout the course of the summit for people to decompress if overstimulated. This room will also be used intermittently as a yoga space. There will be a schedule on the door outlining when the space will be needed for the yoga sessions and when it can be a destim space.

We are prepared to provide ASL interpreters upon request.

    Mobility

There is an accessible front and side entrance including a ramp. All bathrooms are accessible. Everything is taking place on one floor and there are no stairs or elevators needed. Wheeled mobility devices can access the space, and there is space to park wheeled mobility aides indoors as well as having these devices stored within easy reach of the user.

    Service Animals

Service animals are welcomed! There is access to water for the animals, and a maneuverable space.

    Refreshments/Food

All food present at the event will have ingredients labeled.

There will be gluten free, dairy free, vegan, vegetarian, nut free, kosher, and halal options available upon request. They do not have a dedicated kosher kitchen, so they can only provide prepackaged options. Any kosher individuals would simply need to grab one of the catering staff and let them know they need the kosher options provided.

Alcohol will not be present at this event. Alcohol may be present during dinner on Friday at any restaurants that people attend, but none will be present in the LaSells Stewart Center.

    Misc

Please refrain from wearing strong scents for those who have scent sensitivities.

People are allowed to come and go as needed.

There is a lactation room available, though it is not accessible by wheelchair.

There is no age limit to engagement in the Summit, but note that sessions will be an hour long, so if children are present, please ensure they are ready and willing to sit for that long.

  • General Admission is $100. Reduced rates are available for students ($50) and for the BIPOC/Transgender community ($75).
